Despite having left the EU on January 1^st 2021, the UK is still yet to announce the carbon price and auctioning system for its own Emissions Trading System (ETS).

This core policy has been vital to reducing emissions in the EU and the United Kingdom for over a decade, but the UK Government is still yet to outline how their independent, more ambitious ETS will work in full.
